Welcome to Sound Speech Therapy’s Summer Communication Academy 2025!

At Sound Speech Therapy, we believe that every child and teen deserves the tools to share their voice, build relationships, and grow in ways that honor their individuality.

This summer, we’re offering a variety of small-group programs led by experienced speech-language pathologists and open to any child or teen who would benefit from communication support — no diagnosis needed. Our programs celebrate strengths, foster self-advocacy, and help each participant grow their skills in ways that feel meaningful, authentic, and empowering.

Here’s a look at our offerings:

Elementary School (Grades K–4)

Literacy Foundations for Emerging Readers

Building early literacy skills by connecting speech and sound awareness to reading—supporting a variety of learning pathways and honoring each learner's pace.

Friends in Focus: Social Language and Friendship Building Group

Supporting authentic friendships by building conversation strategies, emotional understanding, and flexible problem-solving through play and collaboration.

Level Up Language: Executive Function & Social Communication Bootcamp

Helping young learners grow their thinking, planning, and communication skills through fun, interactive activities that honor different learning styles and strengths.

Middle School (Grades 5–8)

Real Talk: Social Communication Group

Creating a supportive space for tweens and teens to build real conversation strategies, flexible thinking, and self-advocacy, while honoring diverse social communication styles.

Think It, Say It, Do It: Executive Function + Friendship Skills

Strengthening planning, organization, and cooperative problem-solving skills, empowering students to navigate friendships and social situations with confidence.

The Right Words: “R” Sound and Social Language Group

Expanding speech sound production in authentic conversation settings while celebrating individual communication journeys and building social connection.

High School (Grades 9–12)

Connections & Confidence: Real-World Social Skills for Teens

Helping teens strengthen real-world conversation strategies, navigate friendships, and advocate for themselves in ways that feel true to who they are.

Communicate to Work: Job Readiness and Social Communication Group

Supporting teens in building workplace communication skills, interview confidence, and self-advocacy tools as they transition into jobs, internships, and future opportunities.
